In some of northern parts of the country, the bull is called "Varza" in local dialect of those regions. The bullfights of Varza arranged as a way of spending the leisure time after being free from farming and agricultural activities. Varza-owners would prepare their animals for the competition and rub raw garlic on the bulls' horns to make their hits sharper and more efficient as well. The fight goes on until one of the bulls (Varza) would escape, fall, or wound tremendously and finally be murdered. Nowadays, in some northern parts of the country this competition is held.
